Tag the Facebook pages you trust

Facebook is testing a new way to link fans to pages they might like. The new functionality: If a user likes a post that has a page tagged in the text, the platform prompts users to like that page as well.

This is the latest attempt by Facebook to improve page engagement.

The lesson for journalists: Next time you share a news story on Facebook, tag the news organization as well. This provides your fans with an extra opportunity to connect with this organization. This functionality that Facebook is testing increases the number of ways Facebook journalists can curate and recommend content to their followers. Tag away, friends!
