Using Vine as a journalistic tool

Yesterday, The Guardian published a story about how Channel 4 News correspondent Alex Thomson has been tweeting while covering the Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone. Instead of relying on text to convey what he was seeing, he used Vine — to great effect.

“Your coverage of the Ebola outbreak has been fantastic. I understand the situation much better because of it.” Tweeted @dave_coles to Thomson.

Here is the original story from The Guardian, which includes more examples and analysis of the use of Vine in journalism.
